During the pandemic, in addition to the good news that new cases were on the decline, as one of the first batch of high-throughput sequencing clinical application pilot units under the National Health Commission, Annoroad has been deeply engaged in high-throughput sequencing clinical applications for many years and has made great achievements in the exploring high-throughput sequencing automated testing projects. ANNOSTAR, an automatic sampling system developed by Annoroad in cooperation with Hamilton, Switzerland, has recently been approved and certified by Zhejiang Food and Drug Administration.


ANNOSTAR has three major characteristics: highly automated, fully integrated sequencing process, and wide application range. It can be widely utilized in many fields such as reproductive health, tumor diagnosis and treatment, pathogen identification, life science research, and has flexible processing throughput and efficient integration capabilities to meet the needs of various laboratories as much as possible. The instrument is now operating stably in many fields such as non-invasive prenatal screening, tumor genetic testing, and scientific and technological services.


The general high-throughput sequencing process includes sample processing, nucleic acid extraction, library construction, PCR, sequencing, and data analysis. Annoroad ANNOSTAR automatic sample addition system perfectly solves many challenges in the entire experimental process, such as obtaining higher purity and more stable nucleic acid, reducing human errors in library construction, improving efficiency, and reducing work intensity. The equipment has the characteristics of multi-functional integration, convenient library construction, full automation, and flexible throughput:

It has a very flexible detection throughput and can switch between low, medium and high throughput of 48, 96 and 192.


Up till now, as a leading NIPT service provider in China, Annoroad has obtained four approval certifications for its noninvasive prenatal DNA testing (NIPT) program, including automated sample pre-processing, testing instruments, reagents and analysis software.
